    Susan Kennedy, a life-long resident of Evanston, passed away on Sept. 30 after a short illness. Susan was a mother, a grandmother of six and a wife. She was beloved by all who knew her and possessed a real gift in touching the lives of all she met.
  • Steven McGregor Demorest     1959-2019
    Dr. Steven McGregor Demorest was born Aug. 24, 1959, in Detroit, Mich., and died Sept. 22 in Evanston after a 20-month battle with a form of lung cancer that – much like him – was very rare. True to his wishes, he passed peacefully at home with his family and loyal dog by his side.
  • Elizabeth “Liz” G. Stout was born June 8, 1940, and passed away peacefully on Aug. 2 at Symphony of Evanston.

    Long-time Evanston resident and  author Bob Perlongo, 85, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2019, at The Grove of Evanston.
  • Theodore G. Axford 1945-2019
    Theodore Gordon Axford of Evanston, born in 1945, died peacefully at home on Sept. 3 of mesothelioma. 
  • John J. (Jim) Carver, born Sep. 29, 1929 was a lifelong Evanstonian who frequently told his family that he'd probably always live in Evanston because he didn't want his obituary to read "formerly of Evanston." He died on Aug. 25 of natural causes. He was 89.
  • Illinois educator and social activist Priscilla Smith was born in  Chicago on June 12, 1942, and passed away in Morton Grove on Aug. 5.
