· Dec. 31 Christmas Tree Recycling. Evanston residents can place their Christmas trees on the parkways in front of residences for recycling. For five consecutive weeks, tree pickups will take place on the same day as a resident's normal garbage and recycling pickup. For more information call 847-866-2912.

Reserved for students in grades 6-8, at the Ecology Center, 2024 McCormick
Blvd. Students will conduct a hands-on science experiment from start to

· Jan. 8 at 5 p.m. "Hike!" Nerf Football for boys and girls
aged 6-9 takes to the football field at the Robert Crown Center, 1701 Main
St. This eight-week program teaches the fundamentals of the game as well

Thursday, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. "She Can Go," the Levy Center's women's basketball
team, is looking for women aged 55 and better to join them.

2 at 10:30 a.m. A new session of the popular "Cardio, Strength and Stretch"
class begins at the Levy Senior Center, 300 Dodge Ave. This program meets
twice a week for eight weeks. The cost is $58/member and $62/nonmember.

then send and receive mail with "E-Mail 1," a basic class for those aged

house was home to Frances Willard, 19th-century crusader for women's rights
