'Tis The Season
Evanston Art Center Sale

Jewelry and print students of the Evanston Art Center are holding a sale of their work 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Dec. 17, and noon-4 p.m., Dec. 18, in the lower level of the Noyes Cultural Art Center, 927 Noyes Street. Works using glass, silver, copper, stones, beads and paper and ink, by a diverse group students, beginners to advanced, will be available. Cash and checks only will be accepted for purchases. Winter Festival Concert
Students in Evanston Township High School's orchestra, band and choruses will offer a Winter Festival Concert at 3 p.m. on Dec. 18, in the high school's auditorium. Come warm yourself with music at ETHS, and bring the entire family.
Tickets are $2 for adults, $1 for students, and free for senior citizens. The auditorium is handicapped accessible. Parking is available in the lot on Dodge Avenue across from the auditorium entrance.

Join in a Community Celebration of Kwanzaa
The annual family evening begins at 6 p.m., Dec. 28, at the Fleetwood-Jourdain Center, 1655 Foster St. Enjoy music, creative dance, spoken word and a showcase of African fashions, culminating with a menu of soul food and African cuisine. Free;call 847-448-8254.

Trolley Downtown Evanston
Enjoy everything downtown Evanston has to offer for the holidays by way of a free trolley. Sherman Plaza Partners' sponsored trolley will run Dec. 14 through Jan. 1, including New Year's Day.

Community members and visitors are invited to shop Evanston, admire the City's decorations and twinkling lights and taste the cuisine of the restaurants using these convenient stops: Maple Avenue Garage; Church/Chicago Garage; Library Garage/Lot; Chase/1603 Orrington Lot; Rotary and Best Western Lots (one stop); lot across from the Post Office (on east side of Oak); and the corner of Sherman/Church. Watch for the A-Frame signs that will designate these trolley stops.
Trolley hours are:
• Dec. 14, 17-21 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Dec. 15, 16, 22, 23, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Dec. 24, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Dec. 26-30, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Dec. 31, 10 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.
• Jan. 1, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
