Editorial: Goals Without Metrics Are Meaningless
At the District 202 School Board’s meeting on April 11, the Board considered four draft goals that will guide the District for the next five years. At this stage the goals are general. Administrators say the next draft will include potential measures of success and targets for the Board to discuss.

Editorial: We Oppose SB1, It Is Inequitable and Will Severely Harm School Districts 65 and 202
Illinois’ system of funding education is broken. But it is not broken because many school districts, such as School Districts 65 and 202, have been paying high property taxes to fund their schools. It is broken because the State legislature has shirked its responsibility under the Illinois Constitution to adequately fund education.
