City Art Loan Progam
Evanston's public buildings will be brightened with local artwork thanks to the City's new Public Art Loan (PAL) program, which matches Evanston artists with City-owned facilities to display their work.

EEA Donates $43,000 for Evanston Ecology Center Renovation
At the Jan. 11 City Council meeting, the Evanston Environmental Association (EEA) presented a check for $43,000 to the City of Evanston. The funds will be used for the classroom extension project at the Evanston Ecology Center, located at 2024 McCormick Blvd.

Rotary Announces New Deputy General Secretary
Rotary has tapped non-profit management expert Michele Berg to help lead the day-to-day operations of the humanitarian service organization’s headquarters, which includes 525 associates based in Evanston and 275 located in six international offices, and a shared services center in India.

McGaw Y Welcomes Two New Leaders
The McGaw Y welcomes Scott Lorenz and Deborah Bloom, two new leaders who will advance the organization’s mission. Mr. Lorenz will become the vice president, Philanthropy & Leadership Gifts, and will concentrate on major and planned giving, as well as developing relationships with individuals, foundations, and government entities. Ms.  Bloom will be the vice president, Communications & Donor Engagement, and will focus on annual giving, grant writing and the overall communications strategy.

Evanston Environmental Association's February Film Fest
The Evanston Environmental Association’s Wild & Scenic Film Festival will showcase 18 of the world’s most inspiring environmental films on Feb. 5 and 19 at the Ecology Center, 2024 McCormick Blvd. Screenings begin at 7 p.m.; general admission is $7 each night; EEA members receive one free ticket.
