Hooked on Fishing: 'Post-Summer Fishing' Offers Special Rewards
This week is the official start of fall on our calendars, but on the fishing calendar we are heading into what’s called the post-summer season. This can be some of the best fishing time and some of the toughest. As the summer comes to an end and fall begins, things begin to change in the underwater world. The amount of daylight has a direct effect on aquatic plants; as the days are getting shorter the plants begin to die off providing less cover for some of the fish who spend most of the summer in the weeds like the panfish.

Hooked on Fishing: Two Weeks, Too Fast
The second week here on Vermilion Lake in northern Minnesota is coming close to the end, and, as usual, it is coming way too soon for our liking.
